Helena Eiswert

Helena Irmina Eiswert (nee Kief) age 94, departed this life on Sunday, January 19th. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Leonard George Eiswert. Helena was the sister of the late Catherine Kafer, Theodore Kief, ,Fred Kief and Henry Kief; survived by siblings Ida Curreri, Charles and wife Chris, Murph and wife Lorraine, Fran and wife Dot and Edward Kief. She was the loving and devoted mom of Leonard and wife Kathy, Henry and wife Patricia, Michael and Christine, Sandra and husband Lewis Shipley, Susan and husband Richard Hillis, Helena and husband Richard Darnell. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. We will forever miss her dazzling wit, wisdom and ability to connect us all. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of faith, humor and love, for that, we will be eternally grateful. A memorial gathering will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday January 24th at the Oakcrest Chapel 8800 Walther Blvd. Parkville Maryland 21234. with funeral services at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in our Mom's memory to Saint Brigid's Church, 900 South East Avenue, Baltimore Maryland 21224.
