Clarence Edward "Ed" Sawyer Jr.

On Wednesday, March 5, 2014, Clarence “Ed” Sawyer, Jr. , loving husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather passed on due to cancer. He was a Beloved husband for 45 years to Mearl Sawyer. He was a Devoted father to Tammy Bennett and her husband Don, Patricia Laing and her husband Johnny and Jonathan Sawyer and his wife Amanda. He was a Cherished grandfather to Donald, Nathaniel, Hailey, Jacob and William. Brother to Anna Sharp and predeceased in death by his brother, Frank Sawyer. Ed Sawyer was born in Burnwell, West Virginia on March 13, 1947 to Clarence and Eva Marie Sawyer. He graduated from Collins High School in 1968. He moved to Baltimore, MD and worked for Verizon (C&P) for 35 years as a cable splicing tech. He was a proud member of the Sparrows Point/Dundalk Moose Lodge and the Dizzy Pleasure Club. Family will receive friends and family at the family owned and operated CONNELLY FUNERAL HOME OF DUNDALK, 7110 Sollers Point Road on Friday 3-5 & 7-9. Moose service on Friday @730 PM. Funeral services on Saturday at 11 am at the funeral home.
