Malinda Pearl Miller, of Dundalk, died from cancer on September 21, 2104.
She was born in Greenland, West Virginia to the late Roy and Tina Reed. Pearl, as she was known to family and friends, spent her early years in West Virginia before moving with her husband, James Miller, to Dundalk 60 years ago. She was a homemaker who was also a caregiver to many children she babysat over the years. She loved to travel, (stopping at yard sales) and camping, spending a lot of time at her place in Big Bear Lake, West Virginia. She enjoyed family reunions, game shows, puzzle books, soap operas, and watching the Orioles and Ravens.
Survivors include sons Robert "Johnny" Arnold and wife Sue, of Kingwood W.V., James Miller and wife Natalie, of White Hall MD., Alan Miller and wife Wendy of Edgemere, MD., daughter Carol Gegorel and husband Tom, of Abingdon, MD. Three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, James W. Miller, her brother Roy Reed and his wife Maye. Also, her longtime companion Herman Dunn. Pearl will be missed by many relatives and friends.
Family will receive friends at the family owned and operated Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Road, Dundalk, MD 21222, one Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from 3-5 PM & 7-9 PM. A funeral service to celebrate Pearl's life will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens.
