Daniel Henry Meyer Sr.

On January 14, 2015, Longtime Millers Island resident and Waterman, Daniel Henry Meyer Sr. passed away at the age of 82. Born to parents Roy and Ida Meyer on March 6, 1932, he served in the U.S. Army and retired from the Sparrows Point Steel Mill. As a local business owner he served on the Board of Directors as well as Treasurer of M.I.E.B.A. He enjoyed crabbing, fishing, cook-outs and spending time with his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Sandra L. Meyer (nee Chidester) and children Donald Meyer and his wife Debbie, Donna Kondylas and her husband Mike, David Meyer and his wife Debbie, Russell Meyer and Enzel Meyer and his wife Carol, Loving grandfather to 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; Dear brother to 2 sisters and 3 brothers and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by son Daniel Meyer Jr. and brothers, Thomas and William Meyer. The family will receive friends at the family owned and operated CONNELLY FUNERAL HOME OF DUNDALK, 7110 Sollers Point Road, on Saturday and Sunday 3-5 & 7-9pm.
