LeRoy Allen Donaldson

LeRoy Allen Donaldson was born March 1931. He was the son of James W Donaldson and Jewell Cox. He went to Sparrows Point high school and graduated in 1948. He enlisted in the Army and served overseas during the Korean war. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0183 He was a crane operator and later Supervisor at Bethlehem Steel Corporation, Sparrows Point Plant for 32 years. He went to Loyola College as an adult and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1980. He was an avid Bridge player and had achieved the level of Gold Life Master as well as qualifying as a director. He had many friends in the bridge community and they all meant a lot to him. He is survived by a daughter Jackie, son Michael, 2 grandchildren Bekah Palmer and Abby Dunlea , and a sister Joyce Rayboen. There are many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will also mourn his passing. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in his name to either the American Cancer Society or Gilchrist Hospice who took very good care of him during his battle with the cancer. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 12th , 11am at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens.
