Helen Elizabeth Burns

Helen E. Burns of Dundalk passed away with family by her side on Friday, November 20, 2015 at the age of 91. Helen enjoyed sewing and crocheting until her eyes and hands made it difficult. She made sure she finished an afghan for each of her children. She was also an avid gardener, growing fruits and vegetables for canning throughout her life, including this past summer. She also loved spending time with her family, especially the littlest ones as they came along. Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years. She is survived by two daughters, Darlene and Cheryl and their husbands, and two sons, Robert and Lawrence and their wives. She was proud to tell friends about her nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. The family will receive visitors at the CONNELLY FUNERAL HOME OF DUNDALK on Monday from 11 AM to 1PM. A service to celebrate Helen's life will be held at 1 PM, officiated by Pastor Mike Ennis. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens. Because of the compassionate care given to her husband prior to his death, Helen requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Joseph Richey House, 828 N. Eutaw St., Baltimore, MD 21201.
