Kezia T. McNeal

On the night of January 7th, 2016, Kezia Twinkle McNeal of Rising Sun, MD and formerly of Baltimore, MD, passed peacefully in the comfort of his home surrounded by family. He was born on August 21, 1930 in Augusta, VA to the late George and Sophia McNeal. In 1949, Kezia joined the US Army and served in the Korean War earning a UN Service Medal and a Korean Service Medal with 5 Bronze Camp Stars. He later served in the US Airforce as well. Upon leaving the service, he met the love of his life Edith N. McNeal (Forbes) and within a few short months made her his wife. Together they had two beautiful daughters, Donna and Darlene. Kezia will always be remembered as a selfless and giving man whose sole purpose in life was his family. Later in life, Kezia experienced great joy in being the most wonderful grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed spending time outdoors building tree forts for his kids and grandkids, and teaching them how to work on cars, and how to swing a hammer. He is predeceased by his wife of 44 years, Edith McNeal (Forbes), and his daughter, Donna Michalski (McNeal). He is survived by his daughter, Darlene McNeal and her husband Robert Snook of Rising Sun, Maryland; son in-law, Stanley Michalski of North East, MD; granddaughters: Heather Glock of Rising Sun, MD, Monica Rapoza (Glock) of Nottingham, PA and Jennifer Jackson also of Nottingham, PA; and great-grandchildren Dakota Sandow of Rising Sun, MD, and Sophia McMillion of Nottingham, PA.
