Velma Lynn Mitchell

Velma Lynn Mitchell, age 57, of Dundalk Maryland passed away on Sunday July 10th at Season's Hospice after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of William R Mitchell of Dundalk Maryland. Velma was born in Pineville West Virginia on December 2, 1958 to Frances and Monroe Altizer (both past). Velma came to Baltimore, met William and the two were married on December 11, 1976. For many years she worked as a nurse and more recently enjoyed spending time on Facebook reconnecting with old friends, cooking for her family, and relaxing at home. She is survived by her husband William, daughter and son in law Jennifer and William Null of Dundalk Maryland, her grandson Johnny Null of Dundalk MD, her sister Suzan Pafford of West Virginia as well as many nieces and nephews. Velma meant the world to her family and valued the time spent together. She has many dear friends that will truly miss her and her kind spirit. It's now time for her to fly with the angels. We love and miss you Velma Lynn Mitchell. Viewing will be held at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk on Thursday July 14th from 6 to 8pm.
