Norman Thomas Koehler Sr.

Norman Thomas passed away on August 2, 2016 beloved husband of Jeri Koehler. Devoted father of Norm Koehler Jr., Bob Koehler, Craig Koehler Sr., Denise Thomsen, Lynne Stever, Troy Crosby, Patty Morgan and Darrell Morelock. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Beloved son of Julia Koehler, and brother of Rose, Lou, Bill and Fritz Koehler, all of whom predeceased him. Norman retired from a long career as a Baltimore City firefighter. He subsequently worked for the Baltimore County Parks and Recreation department. He was a leader in Boys Scouts, Webelos, and Cub Scouts and proudly served as president of the Holabird Junior High PTSA. He was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman who spent much of his free time camping in Maryland's State Parks, or on the water, crabbing and fishing with his family at their Edgemere shore home. With his wife, Jeri, he worked a small community garden for many years. He was completely devoted to his family and was a great mentor to his children. He taught each one of them many essential skills for success and enjoyment in life. He will be sorely missed by us all. The family will receive friends at the family owned and operated CONNELLY FUNERAL HOME OF DUNDALK, 7110 Sollers Point Rd. on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
