Lewis “Reds” Barley, of Dundalk, born November 12, 1924 in Cumberland, MD, son of the late Lewis and Helen Barley, husband of the late Juanita (Nicolson) Barley, father of Rosalie Carrier and her husband Linwood and Jack Barley and his wife Joy, grandfather of six grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren and brother of the late Earl and Jack Barley and Helen Price.
Mr. Barley was a long time employee for the B & O Railroad, Anchor Motor Freight, Bethlehem Shipyard and the Allied Chemical Company retiring in 1985. He served his country during WW II in the United States Army 28th Division during the Bloody Bucket. He additionally volunteered for the Edgemere Rescue Squad as a scuba diver, coached Little League for the Bear Creek Eagles and belonged to and served as the last Post Commander of the Gray Manor VFW Post 9743. His favorite holiday was St. Patricks’ day and favorite saying to his wife was “ God Bless you me Darling and may your lips never turn sour”.
