Jean L. Barco

BARCO, Jean L. On January 31, 2017, JEAN L. BARCO, age 98, died of natural causes at the Oak Crest Village Retirement Community. She was an integral part of the Dundalk community, serving as President of the Dundalk Women’s Club, and a founding member of the St. Rita’s Catholic Church community. Ms. Barco served on the board of the Order Sons of Italy, spent over 20 years in a leadership role with The March of Dimes of Maryland, was honored by the State of Maryland for extensive volunteer service; while still finding time to be a self-taught pastry chef and making her family and friends her number one priority. Ms. Barco was the beloved wife of the late Santo A. Barco and loving mother of Ronald G. Barco, Dennis S. Barco, and Sandra B. Peters and husband Carl. A devoted grandmother of Brian Barco, Nina McNealey, Chris Barco, Meredith Weiss, Josh Peters, and also survived by 10 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at The Connelly Funeral Home, 7110 Sollers Point Road on Sunday February 5, 2017 from 1pm to 5pm, Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 10:00am at St. Rita's Church, Interment to follow Holly Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Meals on Wheels, 515 S. Haven St., Baltimore, MD 21224 or to St. Rita’s Catholic Church, 2907 Dunleer Rd, Dundalk, MD 21222
