Earl Ayres

Earl Ayres, beloved husband of the late Catherine Ayres; devoted father to daughter Karen Ayres Nuttle and her husband Elbert, son Michael Ayres, daughter Kathy Ayres Bartkowiak and her husband Dennis; loving grandfather to Holly Nuttle, Benjamin Nuttle, David Ayres, Emily Ayres, Alexander Bartkowiak, Ryan Bartkowiak, and Lacey Bartkowiak, passed away February 27, 2017 from natural causes. Earl graduated from John Hopkins University with a Bachelors of Electrical Engineering Degree. He worked for Westinghouse Electric Corporation from 1960 to 1991 as an Electrical Engineer. As an Engineer, he supported several military programs. He also served as a Corporal in the Marine Corps from 1954 to 1957. He lived in Dundalk MD where he was very active in Eastfield sports and recreation coaching his children and many other neighborhood families for many years. He grew up in the Essex area of MD and was the youngest of nine brothers and sisters. His mother was Alice Rebecca Archer and his father was Lemuel Ayres. Family and Friends may join the “Ayres” children for a grave side memorial service to be held on Monday, March 20, 2017 at 11:00 am at Gardens of Faith cemetery.
