Rose Mecler (nee Vicen), beloved wife of the late Frank Mecler, and mother of John (Cathy) Mecler, and the late Francis J. (ML Ament) Mecler. Loving grandmother of Valerie (Tim) Kangelidis, Erica (Sean) Caron, Jessica Mecler, and Zachary Mecler. Great grandmother of Jacob, Kilie, Samantha, and Seth Kangelidis and Sidney and Hadley Caron, and loved by many nieces and nephews.Beloved sister of the late Frank (Ann) Minarovic, Mary (Dick) Walters, Joe (Frances) Vincent, and Helen (Bill) Zacierka.
Rose was born in Sparrows Point and lived in Edgemere until moving to Lighthouse last year. She enjoyed doing acitivites throughout her life with her family, extended family, and friends, such as: taking trips, going to the shore, going on picnics, dancing the polka, going on bus trips to Atlantic City, going out to eat, playing cards, and talking to her friends and family members.
Rose attended St. Luke's Catholic Church, where she was an active member, both in Sparrows Point and in Edgemere, helping with dinners and bazaars, and cleaning the church, until recent years. She was a member of St. Luke's Sodality.
Family and friends may call at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk at 7110 Sollers Poinit Road on Sunday, March 12th, from 3:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 13th at 11:00 at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Edgemere.
Interment will be at BelAir Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, Rose requested that memorial donations be made to:
