My mom, Alexandra Katsaros, was always loving and determined. Whenever I needed her, whether it be for school or just emotional support, she was always willing to lend an ear and help me through my strife. She was a very caring, loving mother and she will never be forgotten.
Alexandra was loved by her grandfather, daughter, friends, and family. She would always try to be honest, kind, full of joy, and would always be willing to help however she could. Any problems she was faced with, she'd always find a solution, and she would stop at nothing until her goal was achieved, or she helped a friend in need. She would not rest until whoever felt down was given full emotional support, and had a genuine smile come across their face.
Alex had worked many jobs in the past making many friendships along the way. Her jobs always had something to do with her passion for art and beauty. She worked at JCpenny and ran the beauty department successfully, where she was loved by fellow employees and clients alike. She went over and beyond to make sure she got just the right products for each individual that went by, even valuing how delicate their skin may have been. She then worked at a chiropractor's office, she took great care of that job as well, staying with it until the business was no more. She then did wedding makeup and worked as a wedding coordinator. Overall, she did a lot of jobs and more, she always did them right.
I will never forget the hardships my mother had to face. She traveled from Greece to America constantly when growing up, leaving her without a stable childhood. After her marriage with my father, and I had grown to the age of two, she had developed a blood cancer known as leukemia. She had also developed diabetes, and other very challenging diseases after her first heart breaking diagnosis. She got emotional at times but in the end she never gave up. It was her way or the highway and she wasn't settling for anything less.
There was so much more to her personality, people she knew, and what she accomplished. What I can say though is that I'm proud of her. She tried and fought a war like a warrior that would give her life for her passion, and I, as her daughter, will always remember her, the love and beauty she carried with her. I'm sure her fellow friends and family will do the same. I love you mom, and always will, I'm happy you're in a better place where you don't have to feel anymore pain or hardships, and can rest.
