Anna M. Scarano

Anna Margaret Scarano (nee Weindl) passed away peacefully at home on January 1st, 2018, surrounded by loving friends. Mrs. Scarano was born, raised, and lived her entire life in East Baltimore. Affectionately known as "Miss Ann" to her friends, she enjoyed trips to the Eastern Shore, teaching "newbies" how to pick steamed crabs, and taking Sunday drives to see the sights. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Louis and Anna Weindl, and her beloved dogs Wimpy, Flip, Mindy, and Daisy Duck (aka Miss DeeDee). A viewing will be held at 10:30am followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00am on Thursday at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church on South Conkling Street, where she was also baptized and confirmed. Interment will follow at New Cathedral Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her honor to Little Sisters of the Poor.
