Athanasia "Sia" Loukas

Sia was the most beautiful soul to ever walk this planet. When she smiled she lit up an entire room. She was kind. She was generous. She put others before herself, every time. She was funny and she was happy. Sia was beautiful in every possible way.

She grew up dancing with her sisters, Katerina and Eleni. She was the most talented and graceful dancer. That passion that she had for dance never left. She went on to become a dance instructor at the same studio she grew up dancing it, Dancemoves Studio of Dance, now Centre Pointe Performing Arts. She loved every one of those little girls and they loved her. She even taught her own goddaughter, Andi, and her niece, Luna.

Sia had another side to her talent and that was soccer. She was amazing. Her and her sister Eleni were known as “Scooby” and “Scrappy” on the field and their team loved her.

Sia also graduated the Nursing Program at CCBC and was studying to take her test to go on to become a nurse. Something she has always wanted since she was a kid. She loved helping others and always wanted to make them better.

There are no words that would do justice to explain the way that Sia loved. Her father, Gus, was her favorite person in the world. She was a Daddy’s girl from day 1. She loved her mother, Beverly, so much. Always putting together the fundraising for her pancreatic cancer walk. Her sisters were her best friends. It was always “The Loukas Girls”. She loved her nieces and nephew: Luna, Lyana and Leo, with all of her heart. Treated them as if they were her own and they loved her so much. She has a special bond with her cousins that pretty much made them siblings as well. She was the baby whisperer. The best friend. The real life Angel on Earth.

Sia had a special love in her relationship with Patrick, their dog and his kids. Again, treating them and loving them like her own. She loved them all with her whole heart.

Our Angel on Earth has been taken from us because she was just too beautiful for this world. Our Angel, Athanasia, finally has her beautiful wings.

 Visitation with family will be held on Sunday at the CONNELLY FUNERAL HOME of DUNDALK, 7110 Sollers Point Road from 2-4 PM and 6 to 8 PM with a trisagion service at 6:30 PM. Athanasia will lie in repose on Monday at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation, 24 W. Preston Street, from 10-10:30 AM with a funeral service at 10:30 AM. Interment at Oak Lawn Cemetery, 7225 Eastern Ave, Baltimore, MD 21224.
