Czeslaw "Chester" Dasko died peacefully at home on April 14, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Grazyna Dasko; daughter, Lillian Dasko-Vincent and her husband, John; grandsons, Corwin, and his wife, Brianna, Collin, and his girlfriend, Hallie; and his great-grandson, Wesley. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Sophia, and his granddaughter, Caitlyn.
Chester was born in Andrzejow, Poland. The youngest of six children, he lived life on his terms. He spent his young adult years as a firefighter in his village before emigrating to the United States in 1964. Chester was a longshoreman for many years. He had a strong work ethic and was extremely active well into retirement. His favorite hobby was chopping and stacking wood.
Chester never forgot his humble beginnings and returned to Poland frequently, having taken 25+ trips to his homeland. He left a legacy in the village from which he came. When a new church, Our Lady of God Parish Queen of Poland in Andrzejow, was being built in the village, Chester, along with his brother, John, made a donation to purchase pews for the entire church.
The family will receive friends at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Road, on Wednesday, April 19, from 3 to 7 PM. His funeral mass will be on Thursday April 20th at 10 AM at Sacred Heart of Mary Church, 6736 Youngstown Ave., Baltimore, MD 21222. Interment will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Dundalk.
