Daniel R. Szydlowski, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, will forever be remembered for his unwavering love for his family and his dedication to his work. Daniel passed away peacefully on February 21, 2024 at 90 years old.
Born on May 27, 1933, Daniel served his country with pride in the Air Force, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant before being honorably discharged on December 30, 1959. He went on to work at Bethlehem Steel for 35 years, where he formed lifelong friendships and earned the respect of all who knew him.
Daniel is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Glennis Szydlowski, his loving children Richard, Michael, Steven, and Lisa, his daughter-in-laws Debbie and Cathy, sister-in-law Betty, along with 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life. He also leaves behind his dear sister, Dolores Snyder. Daniel is predeceased by his late brothers Leonard and Albert and his late sister Mildred.
A man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life, Daniel loved spending time at the casino, cheering on his favorite baseball and football teams, and above all, cherishing moments with his family.
As we come together to celebrate Daniel's life and legacy, we invite friends and family to join us for the funeral services in honor of his memory. A public viewing will be held at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Road, on Sunday February 25, 2024, from 5:00- 8:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Rita's Catholic Church, 3 Dunmanway on Monday February 26, 2024 (Time to be determined) with interment to follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery, 7305 German Hill Road.
Daniel's spirit will continue to live on through the memories he created with his loved ones and the impact he made on all those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed but forever cherished in our hearts. Rest in peace, Daniel. Your legacy of love and dedication will endure for generations to come.
