David Vernon Grammer

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of David Vernon Grammer, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who departed this life on February 9, 2025, at the age of 66. David was born on December 5, 1958, in Baltimore, to the late Robert Grammer and Helen Grammer. He spent his life in the Sparrows Point area, where he became known for his generosity, and unwavering dedication to his loved ones. He resided in his childhood home in Fort Howard with his wife, Lisa Grammer. 

David was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need. His family was his greatest treasure, and he cherished every moment spent with them especially his daughter, Megan Grammer, and his granddaughter, Addison Westerman. 

He is brother to Robert Grammer and the late Terrance Grammer and brother-in-law to Bernard McVey Jr., and daughter’s fiancé Chuck Westerman. David is also the uncle of Douglas Grammer, Robert Grammer Jr., and is the godson of Arthur Grammer. 

An avid outdoorsman, David loved hunting, fishing, crabbing, and riding 4-wheelers. He embraced the beauty of nature, often sharing these passions with family and friends. His spirit of adventure and love for the outdoors will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 15, 2025, at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Road. Public viewings will take place from 2:00 PM-4:00 PM and again from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM, with a funeral service beginning at 7:00 PM. In honor of David's love for the outdoors, friends and family are welcome to wear camouflage gear to the services.

His legacy of love, hard work, and the joy he found in life will forever remain in the hearts of those who cherished him. David will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
