Dayton R. Balliet, Sr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dayton R. Balliet Sr, a loving husband, father, and grandfather who peacefully passed away on August 8, 2024, in Dundalk, MD. Dayton was born on April 24, 1939 in Baltimore City to the late Dayton and Victoria Balliet.

Dayton is the beloved husband of 66 years to the late Catherine Balliet. He leaves behind his daughter Denise Geiger and her late husband Wayne Geiger, and his late son Dayton Balliet Jr and his wife Brandy Lee Balliet. Dayton was also a cherished grandfather to Adam Geiger and his wife Megan, Shannon Geiger and Jason Geiger.

Dayton was a dedicated employee at the Social Security Administration for 59 years. He also took pride in his work with the Dundalk Softball Rec. Council since 1979. He loved nothing more than going on family vacations and using his passion for taking photographs to capture all the beautiful memories.

A public viewing in his honor will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024, at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Road, from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm and 6:00 pm- 8:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, 7401 German Hill Road.

Dayton's presence in our lives will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
