Debra Butta Bright departed life peacefully on June 30, 2020 at Riverview Nursing Facility, where she prided herself on being well-known and social; always attending BINGO and special events. She will be most remembered for her quick witted zingers. Debbe struggled with Multiple Sclerosis but ultimately succumbed to complications related to COVID-19. She was a proud graduate of Patapsco High School c/o 1972. Debbe loved music! Her record collection was her most prized possession. She was especially fond of Led Zeppelin and The Beatles.
She was predeceased by her beloved parents’, Sal and Gloria Butta. She was so proud of her daughters’, April Bright and Lacy Rippel, and son-in-law, Scott. She was the type of mom who would always welcome our friends over to the house or give them a ride home. She had three grandchildren, Nathan Rippel, Jaxon Griffin and Gracelynn Rippel. Debbe is survived by her sister and brother, Barbara Butta and Mitch Butta, as well as her loving Godmother Aunt Tootsie Greensfelder. All of whom were there for her; constantly checking on her and making sure she had comfort food. Although Debbe will be missed immensely, she hoped for the day that she would be called home, finally free to rest in peace and comfort.
A funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 6400 E. Pratt Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21224, on Tuesday, July 7th, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, 7401 German Hill Road, Dundalk, MD 21222.
