On November 2nd (All Souls Day), Dolores C. Figinski, age 94 the last living elder in our village of family & friends, was called to join the souls of her predeceased “love of her life” husband, Hilary W. Figinski, her parents, Eva Lynch and Louis Mayr, brother Gregory Mayr, his wife Mollie, her grandson Michael and beloved friend Joe Reitz as well as all the predeceased family and friends in our village.
Dee’s job as a supervisor at the phone company ended with the birth of her first child. Her new life long career as a homemaker and devoted mother of six began. When the last child started school Dee became a sales consultant for Miller Brothers Ladies Apparel, only after stating that she would not work in the summer when her children were home from school. Dolores was a dedicated supporter of Our Lady of Fatima, from the start of the parish, with all six children attending the school, as a member of the Arch Confraternity and lastly as a hard working member of the Leisure Club. Dee was always on the go.
Dolores is survived by daughters, Hillary Figinski, Lea (John) Gummer, Mary Eve VonBerger, Paula Fazio and Claudette (Greg) Dorries; and her son, Mark Figinski. Grandchildren: Sarah, Dustin, Heiko, Steven, Amanda and Eric. Great Grandchildren: Gavin, Alexis, and London as well as many nieces and nephews.
Rest in peace, Mom, you gave everyone your all and more.
The family will receive friends at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Rd on Sunday, November 7th from 2-4pm & 6-8pm.
