Doris Hofmann

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Doris Hofmann on April 5, 2025, at the age of 91. Doris spent her life dedicated to her family, faith, and community, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew her.

Doris was a beloved wife to the late James Hofmann Sr., devoted mother to her daughter, Diane Defeo, and her son, James Hofmann Jr. (Tracy). She was also a proud grandmother to her grandchildren, Danielle Fischer, Christopher Defeo, Matthew Hofmann, Nate Hofmann and a cherished friend to Ron Mayhew. Doris took immense joy in her family, always ready with a story or a loving word to lift their spirits.

Doris was known for her meticulous nature and organizational skills. She loved her pastors and her church family deeply and was never shy to share her love for Jesus with anyone who would listen. Doris's unwavering pride in Dundalk, Maryland, was evident in everything she did. She loved her community and cherished the connections she made throughout her life. Her warm spirit and engaging conversations will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

A funeral service to honor Doris's life will be held on April 11, 2025, at Freedom Baptist Church, 7001 German Hill Rd. starting at 11:00 AM, with a public viewing beforehand at 10:00 AM. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Oak Lawn Cemetery.

In the days ahead, let us remember Doris not just for the years she lived, but for the love and light she shared with all of us. Her kind spirit and dedication to her faith and family will continue to inspire us.
