Dorothy Ann Greene

Dorothy Ann (Nudge) Haggerty Greene, age 79, passed away in her Dundalk home, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, April 9, 2017.  Born on June 4, 1937, Dorothy was the oldest of two girls born to Joseph Paul and Elizabeth Theresa Haggerty in Baltimore, Maryland.  Dorothy grew up in Dundalk, graduated from Mount Saint Agnes High School in 1955 and received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland in 1959.   Dorothy worked for the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene for 25 years, retiring in 1999.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards with her friends and traveling.    Dorothy is survived by her son, Peter Greene (53) and wife, Evelyn; son, Matthew Greene (52) and wife, Lori; daughter Amanda Vaughan (49) and husband, Jim; daughter Jane Stricker (47) and husband, Brian; her seven grandchildren and one great grandchild; and her sister Marguerite (Maggie) Davies. A memorial service will be held at the Connelly Funeral Home in Dundalk on Monday, April 17 at noon, visitation begins at 10am.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider making a donation to Kelly’s Dream, Gilchrist Hospice, or the charity of your choice.
