In Loving Memory of Edwin McKrush
Edwin "Ed" McKrush, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on January 4, 2024, at the age of 85.
Ed's unwavering devotion to his family was evident through his 45 years of dedicated service at Bethlehem Steel. He took pride in his work and was known for his unwavering work ethic and commitment to excellence. Ed's vast knowledge and skills as a craftsman were unmatched; he had a passion for woodworking and could build or fix anything that came his way.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Ed was a pillar of the community. He selflessly offered his time and assistance to anyone in need, embodying the true meaning of kindness and compassion. Whether it was lending a helping hand to a neighbor or supporting local church, and even helping build items for the funeral home, Ed's impact on his community was immeasurable.
In his free time, Ed enjoyed the leisurely pursuit of golfing, spending hours on the green perfecting his swing. He found solace and joy in the companionship of his beloved Boxer dogs, who were loyal companions throughout his life.
Ed's memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife, Darlene McKrush, his children Jennifer Berry, Robert Reedinger, the late Deborah Ghaiad, the late Gregory McKrush, and Cynthia Hoffman, his sons-in-law Tom Berry and Andrew Carr, his grandchildren Antonia Yingling, Christina Vest, Jennifer Sylvia, Allison Schoolden, Abraham Ghaiad, Samantha Cook, Sage Hoffman, and his 13 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Ruth Peitsch, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
To honor and celebrate the life of Ed McKrush, funeral services will be held at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk on January 8, 2024. A public viewing will take place at 2:00 pm, followed by a heartfelt funeral service at 4:00 pm. As we gather to pay our final respects, let us come together to share stories, reminisce about cherished memories, and find solace in the love and support we have for one another.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Ed's name to Adopt A Boxer Rescue.
Ed McKrush will forever remain in our hearts, his legacy a testament to a life well-lived and a spirit that will never be forgotten. May he rest in eternal peace.
