Elsie Emma Tippett

December 23, 1924 — May 16, 2023

Elsie Emma Tippett

Elsie Emma Tippett was the first child of Otto and Emma Schultze, born December 23, 1924 in Baltimore, Maryland. She met her husband, Calvin in 1943. Calvin was in the Army/Air Force soon after and she traveled by train to California to marry him in March 1944. They were married 67 years until his passing in 2011.

She is survived by her six children and their spouses, Jeannette & Dave McCracken, JoAnn and Joe Orsini, Ronald and Nancy Tippett, Nancy J Tippett, Len and Deb Tippett, Tyrone Tippett as well as seven grandchildren, Aaron, Jan, Ryan, Stephen, Alexis, Aubrey and Amber and eight great grandchildren, Victoria, Gabriel, Alexander, Westley, Elliana, Donovin, Easton and Goldie and three great-great grandchildren, Mason, Amelia and Liam.

Calvin and Elsie were both dedicated Jehovah's witnesses, serving Jehovah God by joining the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1955. She enjoyed her life and was looking forward to living in a paradise earth after the resurrection.

Elsie enjoyed being a wife and mother and constantly doted on her children and grandchildren. She loved all things family. Elsie and Calvin traveled extensively throughout their life visiting places like, Paris, Bermuda, Egypt, Hawaii, Canada, Mexico and numerous trips within the US.

In the early 60's, Calvin and Elsie joined Shannondale Country Club in Harpers Ferry, WV. They built a beautiful A-frame cottage where we as a family spent most weekends enjoying the amenities it offered.

Elsie passed away peacefully at the age of 98, in her home on May 16, 2023 after a long battle with heart disease.

The Tippett Family wishes to convey its sincere gratitude for the acts of loving kindness expressed during our time of bereavement.
