Emma Lillian Cannoles

Emma Lillian Cannoles, age 96, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2020.  Born on May 30, 1924, Emma lived a full and family-oriented life. Nothing brought her more joy than her six children Raymond, William, Blanche, Sandra, Linda, and Donna.  Emma and her late husband, Raymond, spent most of their lives in West Inverness. She loved making homemade crab soup from the bounties of her husband’s catch. Emma was known for her pineapple upside down cake and strawberry shortcake with the best homemade icing. The New Year always started with homemade lentil soup, a tradition that was started by her mother, Mable Huthwelker who passed before her. Emma, Ray, Mable, and her late sister Betty, enjoyed many bus trips to Atlantic City. They would always reminisce about days gone by on the steel pier and the diving horse.

Emma was affectionally known as Mrs. Kodak…definitely loved her camera. Her 9 grandchildren will always remember her as the master stocking stuffer. In addition to her grandchildren, Emma is survived by several great-grandchildren and even great great-grandchildren. Her love and kindness will be missed. The world is a better place because she was in it.

Services will be held at Connelly Funeral Home, 7110 Sollers Point Road, Dundalk on Wednesday July 1,2020 from 2PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM. A funeral service to celebrate Emma's life will be Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens, 10201 Bird River Rd, Baltimore, MD 21220.
