Frederick Carroll (Bud) Bethke of Bel Air, MD departed this world on April 30, 2019 at the age of 85. Bud was born April 25, 1934 in Baltimore, MD to Frederick Charles and Lillian Bethke, and grew up in Dundalk, MD. He was preceded in death by his wife Carole Sue Bethke, and sister Louise Rudacille. Bud is survived by sister Margaret LeBrun, his children Frederick Randall Bethke (Candy) of Millsboro, DE, Ross J Bethke (Donna) of Churchville, MD, Rhonda Sue Little (Tom) of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Michael Winston (Cheryl) of Salt Lake City, UT. He is also survived by his grandchildren Brooks Bethke (Antoinette) of Falls Church, VA, Kara Sue Bethke of Milton, DE, Blair Bethke of Millsboro, DE, Adam and Owen Bethke of Churchville, MD, Collin Little of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Heather Little of Edgewood, MD, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bud graduated from Dundalk High School in 1952 and married the love of his life Carole Sue Ross in 1954. He then served in and eventually retired from the Maryland Air National Guard. Bud operated and managed the family business North Point Cab Co. until his 2nd retirement in 1996. Bud loved fishing and crabbing, and he spent much time at his fishing camp at Deal Island, MD. Most of all he loved spending time with and serving his children and grandchildren.
The family would like to say thank you to the staff at Lorien Riverside in Belcamp, MD for their wonderful care of Bud in his last years. We will always appreciate all that you have done for Bud.
The family will receive friends at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Rd. on Saturday,May 4th beginning at 10 am. A celebration of life for Frederick will begin at 11 am. Interment to follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
