On August 24, 2018, Frederick "Rick" Loeffler III, beloved husband of Nancy Loeffler; devoted father to Scott Loeffler and his wife Paula, Sherry Fluke and her husband Mike, Lisa Loeffler, and the late Ricky Loeffler; loving grandfather to Christopher Loeffler, Ian Fluke and his wife Danielle, and Jennifer Loeffler; cherished sister of Rosalie Gunter. Rick is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.
Rick was an electrician in the US Air force from 1951 - 1955, receiving a National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. After his service he worked as a mechanic at Dundalk Bus Lines and Airline Limousine and later became a small business owner of Graff’s Garage with his two sons until he retired.
Rick loved to watch his Baltimore teams, the Orioles and Ravens. He was an a amateur pilot and a mechanical wizard known to be able to McGiver anything. He was a member of two senior men’s golfing associations, golfing weekly in his retirement. He was an avid fisherman which he enjoyed with his son Scott, grandsons and close friends. He will be missed by all who knew him, especially his devoted wife of 64 years, children and grand children.
Family will receive visitors at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8. A funeral service to celebrate Rick's life will be held on Tuesday morning at 11 AM at the funeral home.
