Harold Peters, of Edgemere, MD passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at Riverview Rehab and Health Center. “Pete” was born in Austin, PA on August 24, 1927 and grew up in Coudersport, PA. Pete was pre-deceased by his wife of 64 years, Margaret Irene Feshanko Peters, one sister, Mary L. Hughes, and parents Bruce and Ella Brooks Peters. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, David and Donna Peters of Edgemere, MD, one grandaughter, Christina Kasdan and her husband Brett of Columbia, MD, one grandson, Donald Peters and his wife Melissa of Sparrows Point, and two great-granddaughters, Bella and Sofia Peters. Pete served in the Navy in World War II. He learned welding at Trott Vocational school while employed at Carborundum in Niagra Falls, NY. He was a member of Ironworkers Local 16 in Baltimore, MD for 38 years working at Bethlehem Steel, General Motors, among others, and helping to construct many structures in the Baltimore/Washington area including the Aquarium, USF&G building, the Bay Bridge and the Maryland National Bank building. He was a Maryland Mason with Patapsco Lodge #183 and a member of the Scottish Rite. He was a member of Lodge Forest United Methodist Church. He was an avid sailor and enjoyed metal detecting and civil war history.Viewing to be held at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk on Friday, July 7th from 3-5 and 7-9 pm.
