Hennriette E. Ventura

Hennriette E. Ventura died peacefully at Heritage Hall Nursing Home on September 29, 2020 in Blackstone, VA at the age of 98.

Hennriette was born in Germany. That is where she met the love of her life Philip J. Ventura, Sr. who was there in the war. She became a war bride and soon moved to the United States. They settled in Dundalk and raised their 6 children there. Her family meant everything to her. She was a very kind and generous person. She never hesitated to help anyone who was in need.

Hennriette loved to have fun. She always loved playing cards and games with her children and grandchildren (and sometimes she liked to cheat ). She liked doing puzzles as well as gambling at the casino! It was very easy to laugh and have fun with her. Her passing has left a very big hole in our hearts and she will be greatly missed. We love you mom!

Hennriette was the loving wife of the late Philip J. Ventura, Sr. She is survived by her daughters Franziska Dunphy and husband William, Elizabeth Kiger and husband Sam, Phyllis Benner and husband Joseph, and her son Philip J. Ventura, Jr. and his wife Sharon. Her son-in-law Dustin Thomas and daughter-in-law Rose Danziger. She is also survived by her grand children Barbara, Fred, Michael, Richard, Michele, Cynthia, Colleen, Kevin, Jamie, Erin, Joseph, John and Christopher. As well as many great grand children.

Hennriette was preceded in death by her son Manfred Danziger and daughter Rosemarie Thomas.

A viewing is scheduled for Monday October 5th from 4-8 p.m. at Connelly Funeral Home in Dundalk, MD.
A service at the funeral home will be held on October 6th at 11 a.m. with burial at 12:15 at Meadowridge Cemetry.
