Howard Carter

It's with heavy hearts we announce that on November 13, 2024 Howard F. Carter Jr. (Hal) passed peacefully. He was born July 30, 1958 to the late Howard F. Carter Sr. (Fritz) & Mary A. Carter (née Marino).

He is survived by his siblings Connie Buleza and husband Mike, ThomasCarter and partner Barbara, Robin Barrickman and husband Eddie, Sharon Stewart and husband Ronnie in addition to many nieces/nephews, cousins and friends. He is also survived by his wife Sherry Morris, step son Ryan Morris, granddaughter Angel Morris and mother in law Laverne McMaster.

After graduation Howard served honorably in the U.S.Navy. He enlisted with his good friend the late Tim Novakoski and made a life long friend in Kirk Lindsay. After his discharge he started his plumbing career working in the family business with his father, brother and uncles. Howard then had a long career in plumbing supply sales. He enjoyed his work and excelled at it with an unsurpassed depth of knowledge. He worked at several locations in Baltimore including Schumacher & Seiler, Leonard Supply and Saffer Plumbing but spent his last fifteen years, and retired from, working with Henry Klinar, Mark Hobbs and many others at McKean Plumbing in Washington, PA.

Hal was happiest when he was outdoors, in the woods hunting or anywhere fishing. He was a huge Ravens and Orioles fan and never missed watching a game. The only thing he enjoyed as much was music, either playing or listening. Howard will be missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be on Thursday November 21, 2024 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM - 8:00PM. A service will be held at 7:00 PM at Connelly Funeral Home.

Interment will be on Friday November 22, 2024 at 10:45 AM at Crownsville Veteran Cemetery located at 1122 Sunrise Beach Rd. Crownsville, MD 21032
