Ilene D. Slaughter

    Ilene Diane Slaugher, age 82 passed away Saturday, April 2nd. She was born October 5, 1939 in Baltimore, MD to Bud Dibbern and Elizabeth Gorman Dibbern. She was sister to Brenda and Betty. She and her husband, Robert Donald Slaughter, who preceded her in death, were married for 59 years. She is survived by her son Robert Donald Slaughter aged 54, and daughter Heather Diane Fitch aged 48. She has three granddaughters, Robin Maryland Slaughter, Mattea Dean Fitch and Talia Marie Fitch. She was a beloved Aunt I to many nieces and nephews. She also was blessed with two great granddaughters Cylee and Austyn.

    She loved working with her hands at just about anything. She was a bridal seamstress for over 50 years and loved her profession. She and her husband Robert loved traveling especially cruises. She adored all her granddaughters but especially her special bond with Robin Slaughter. She will be missed by so many.

    Visitation with family will be at the CONNELLY FUNERAL HOME of DUNDALK, 7110 Sollers Point Road on Thursday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a service at noon.  Interment will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
