James “Jimmy” Carder, Sr. passed away on January 21, 2022.
Jimmy was born at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD to Edward and Henrietta Carder. He spent much of his life in Dundalk, MD where he had a full career as a pressman in the printing industry and then later becoming the dedicated primary caregiver to his mother.
Jimmy enjoyed creating lifelong memories with his family and friends. These memories came from fishing, crabbing, camping, vacationing, and cooking out with cold beer and steamed crabs.
Jimmy was a caring, kindhearted, happy-go-lucky person that wore his heart on his sleeve. He had contagious sense of humor that easily made you laugh. Everyone who knew Jimmy, will always have a great story to share. There was no one he wouldn’t strike up a conversation with because he saw everyone as his friend.
He will be dearly missed by his mother Etta Carder of Dundalk, MD; his two sons: James Carder of Cape Coral, FL and Evan Carder of Worcester, MA; his two brothers: Richard Carder and wife Margaret, and Edward Carder and wife Grace of Dundalk, MD; his three grandchildren: Ellie Carder, Kayden Carder, and Emmett Carder of Cape Coral, FL; his nieces and nephew, cousins, and countless friends.
The family will receive friends at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Rd, Dundalk, MD 21222 on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 from 4 PM - 8 PM.
Jimmy was great with kids and loved to collect toys for children. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jimmy’s honor can be made to the Marine Toys for Tots - https:// www.toysfortots.org/donate/forms/simple/Default.aspx.
