James Richard Prettyman Sr.

On September 9, 2019, James R. Prettyman Sr., devoted father to James Prettyman Jr. and his wife Melanie, Donald Prettyman, Matthew Prettyman, and the late Amanda Prettyman; loving grandfather of Braden James Prettyman; dear brother to Ronald Wright, Linda Prettyman, and the late Bruce Prettyman. He is preceded in death by his parents Donald and Florence Prettyman. James is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

James was an avid hunter. He enjoyed fishing and crabbing on the bay. He loved The Orioles and The Ravens and most recently The Capitals. Nascar was his favorite. He enjoyed watching games with his sons and best friend Steve. He was a loving father, loyal brother, and a caring son. He was an Electrician out of local 24 for many years. He enjoyed the company of others and was an amazing story teller. He had a huge heart and missed his daughter more than anything in the world. 

Family will receive visitors at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk on Friday from 4-8 PM. A funeral service to celebrate James' life will be held Friday evening at 7:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
