Janet L. Morgan

On January 4, 2023, Janet Lea (née Hammonds) Morgan, aged 76, went to be with her lord and savior. She was a devoted mother to her son David Morgan and his wife Jennifer Morgan, and her son Daniel Morgan, and a loving Grandmom to her two grandchildren, Katie and Ian Morgan. Janet was also survived by her best friend Sherry Lee Oaks, and by her nieces and nephews.

Janet’s husband, Gerald D. Morgan Jr., preceded her in death, as did her parents, Monroe and Viola Hammonds; and her siblings, Howard (Bud) Hammonds, Rella (Hammonds) Farlow, and Ray (Bubby) Hammonds.

Janet was a longtime secretary for the Baltimore Firefighters IAFF Local 734. She was a dedicated member of Christian Fellowship Church of Chase, MD, where she devoted her time as a financial secretary, taught Sunday School, and sang with the worship team.

Janet enjoyed travel, Hallmark movies, and crochet, but most of all loved spending time with her family and friends. Her ear for music and harmony had her singing constantly, even to the end of her life. She was a sweet, kind woman with a huge heart and sense of humor who always put the needs of others before her own. She will forever be cherished in our hearts.

               Visitation with family will be on Friday 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the CONNELLY FUNERAL HOME of DUNDALK 7110 Sollers Point Road. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM from the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Christ Lutheran Cemetery, German Hill Road, Dundalk.
