Jessica Marie Sowards

Jessica Marie Sowards, 34, of North Augusta SC, passed away on July 2, 2023 unexpectedly. She is survived by her husband Jeremy Sowards, her children Judah, Avery, Molly, Lydia, her parents Donald and Mary Wilson, and her sisters Carrie and Katie Wilson.

Jessica was born November 22,1988 in Jacksonille, NC. From a young age she had a love for life. She enjoyed playing softball, baking, sewing, had a love for animals, and enjoyed anything crafty. In high school, Jessica enjoyed participating in field hockey, marching band, school musicals, and hanging out with friends.

After high school, Jessica attended Shepherd University in West Virginia in hopes to receive a degree in childhood education. After a few years of moving around with the Army and being a fulltime mom, Jessica recieved her degree on June 12, 2015. Jessica was great with children and that translated into the great mother she was to her family.

Jessica met Jeremy in 2009 and they were an instant match. Their relationship was easy, they were each others partner-in-crime, and they were nothing short of best friends. They went on to marry in 2010 and brought their children Judah, Molly Avery, and Lydia into the world.

Jessica always wanted to be a mom and she absolutely loved her children. They often spent their days together baking, doing crafts, reading, playing with their stuffed animals, and facetiming with their grandparents. She was self-less, and would give up everything to make sure her family was taken care of. Jessica was a kind, generous, funny, and colorful person. She lit up any room she went into and her absence will be significant to all that knew her.

The family will receive friends at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Rd. on Tuesday from 3-5 & 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at St. Andrew Orthodox Church, 2028 E Lombard St, Baltimore, MD 21231 on Wednesday at 11 am. Interment to follow at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens.
