Joan M. Higgs

Joan Higgs passed away on July 4, 2023. She was beloved wife and homemaker of 58 years to the late Hoover Higgs. Joan was a sweet and loving wife and mother. She made her family her priority and hosted family get-togethers regularly. Joan enjoyed visiting her kids and grandkids. She was known as the backbone of the family.

Along with her husband, Joan was preceded in death by her Mother Florie Wiltrout, Father Joe Curtis, Sisters Mary Ferandez, Charlotte Fultz, and Brother Tommy Curtis.

Joan was the beloved mother of Bonnie Higgs, Alan and Donna Higgs, Lisa and Kevin McCarty. Joan was the adored Grandmother of Nori and Colin Harris, Jay Brittain, Matt and Megan Brittain. Loving great grandmother of Tristan, Trevor, Trent, Matthew Jr, Mckenna-Lu, Madelyn-Jo, Ellie and Riley and great-great grandmother of Addison.

Family will receive visitors at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A funeral service celbrating Joan's life will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery.
