John Michael Kwiatkowski

On November 9, 2017, John Michael Kwiatkowski, beloved husband of Wanda (nee Jakubowski), wife of 68 years. Devoted father of Kathryn Bankard and Susan Monthie; Cherished grandfather of Sister Mary Monica O.P., Alphonse IV, Bernie, Charlie, Paul, and Rebecca Bankard; and Bill, Chris, Meg, Ned, Laura, Michael, and Mark Monthie. Also survived by 6 great-grandchildren and brother Edward. Preceded in death by parents, Michael and Mary (nee Krawczynski), brothers Walter and Michael, and sisters Stella Lazusky, Marie Magee, and Frances Smith. John was a Veteran of the United States Navy, serving as a Seaman First Class Sonarman in the Panama Canal Zone during World War II. He was awarded an American Theater Ribbon and a World War II Victory Medal. John was a member of the Knights of Columbus (Knights of Fatima Council 10137), the Holy Name Society, the Ushers Society, and Leisure Club of Our Lady of Fatima Church. He also served as Head Usher for the Sunday Noon Mass in Our Lady of Fatima Church. For many years, John took great pride in designing and assembling his Christmas garden with his model trains.  The family will receive friends at the CONNELLY FUNERAL HOME of DUNDALK, 7110 Sollers Point Road, on Saturday from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM.  A mass of Christian burial to celebrate John's life will be 12:00 noon on Saturday at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 6400 E. Pratt Street, Baltimore, MD. 21224. Interment following the mass at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
