John Albert Malczewski Sr. 72, of Dundalk, MD passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 after a long battle with Renal Cell Carcinoma, with his wife and children by his side. Born in 1946 to John F. and Agnes Malczewski (née Lipka). He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda Malczewski (née Colwell), son, John Jr. and wife Melody, daughter Victoria Diacoloukas and husband Nicholas, and Angela Sheils and husband Matthew. Devoted “Pop” of Jake, Bryson and Maci Malczewski; Maria Blair, Gus, Valanti and Gabriel Diacoloukas; Hunter, Alexis and Ashley Sheils; and two great grandchildren. Loving brother of Eileen Kizer (deceased) and Sandy Miskimon. Also survived by many loving relatives and friends. John was a proud Vietnam veteran who served in the 25th Infantry Division of the U.S. Army. After his honorable discharge from the Army, John owned and operated Johnny’s Tavern on the corner of Fait Avenue and Potomac Street in Baltimore City. In 1973, he joined the U.S. Postal service as a letter carrier and retired in 2016 with 45 years of service.
Friends and family may call at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Road, on Friday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. A service to celebrate John's life will be held on Saturday, 11 AM, at the funeral home.
