John Joseph Petrush Sr.

John Joseph Petrush Sr passed from this life on May 25, 2022. John was the beloved husband to the late Rosalie Petrush; Devoted father to John Petrush Jr and his wife Connie, Wayne Petrush, and Thomas Petrush and his wife Susan; Loving grandfather to John Harris, Steven Petrush, Patrick Petrush, Christopher Petrush and Jenifer Pitz. John is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.

John was a WWII veteran and participated in the invasion of Normandy. He also was a class ‘A’ welder at Sparrows Point Bethlehem Steel from which he retired. He was a regular parishioner at Our Lady of Fatima Church and was a member in good standing with the Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society. His hobbies included bass fishing and golfing. John and his wife Rosalie were also avid dancers and would regularly attend dances at The Polish Home and participated in square dancing.

The family will receive friends at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Road, on Tuesday, May 31st from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. A funeral service to celebrate John's life will be held on Wednesday, June 1st ,11:00 am, at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery,  7401 German Hill Road.
