On August 14, 2020, John Linuel Slone, beloved husband of Sylvia Slone; devoted father to Mary Ann Bennett and her friend Judy Rutkiewic, Deborah Mitchell and her husband William, Janet Jewell and her husband Charles, John Slone Jr and his wife Kimberly, and Leisa Campbell and her husband Michael; cherished grandfather of William Mitchell III, Natalie Russell and her husband Brendan, Charles Jewell III and his wife Michelle, Joshua Jewell and his wife Julie, Courtney Bratt and her husband Dan, Ryan Patrick Slone, Kaitlyn Slone, Keira Slone, Sean Cusic, Jason Slone and his wife Faith, and Megan See and her husband James; great-grandfather of Kelly Russell, Graham Russell, Alyssa Jewell, Kaiden Jewell, Matthew Jewell, Logan Jewell, Carter Jewell, Tucker Jewell, Nolan Bratt, Madison Slone and Grace Slone; dear brother of Ralph Slone and his wife Jane, Phillip Slone and his wife Billie Jean, Dewey Slone, Dorothy Jones, Rosetta Jordan, Judi Cole, Sarah Staats Slone, the late Harold Slone, the late Mary Slone, the late David Slone, the late Barbara Mills, the late Deana Runyon and the late Jean Greathouse. John is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, friends and family.

Family will receive visitors at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Road, on Monday from 2pm-7pm. A service to celebrate John's life will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:00 am. Interment will follow the service at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, 7401 German Hill Rd, Dundalk, MD 21222.
