Joseph A. Ewing Jr.

Joe is survived by his wife, Betty Pettrey-Ewing, and daughters Ashley Smith her, husband Steve, and their son Stevie, Rebecca Pettrey, and Emma Ewing.  His mother Inez Ewing, and sister Mildred Crebs.  He also leaves behind step-son, Stephen Woodley.  Joe leaves behind a host of extended family and friends. Joe was pre-deceased by his father Joseph Ewing, his sisters Marian Forbes, and Jo Ann Clements. Joe was the proprietor of Filleti’s Sub and Pizza for 30 yrs.  Before opening his own business he worked for a number of years at Mars Supermarkets. Joe always had a love of cars and racing. In recent years he enjoyed camping with his family. He was an active member of the Calvary Baptist Church and the Odd Fellows Lodge of Fort Howard.  The family will receive friends at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Road, on Sunday from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm. A funeral service to celebrate Joseph's life will be held on Monday, 11 am, at Calvary Baptist Church, 7321 Manchester Road, Dundalk, MD 21222.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made payable to Calvary Baptist Church in memory of Joseph Ewing Ministry Center, 7321 Manchester Road, Dundalk, MD 21222.
