Joshua Ryan Jamison

Joshua Ryan Jamison passed away on July 5, 2021. Joshua is survived by his adoring partner Jennifer M. Bosarge. They challenged each other intellectually, laughed often and enjoyed traveling. Together they won lots of Trivia nights and played a bit of Keno. They shared a home, a dog named Fish, a cat named Riddle, and diverse opinions on squirrels (her for, him against).

The beloved son of Karen Beddows-Jamison and the late Richard Jamison Sr., Joshua would freely admit to being a ‘momma’s boy’ and mom freely admits to encouraging and indulging him always. Josh was the baby of the family and will always be our Joey, our Huggy Bear.

Survived by brother Richard (Jamie) Jamison Jr. & his wife Christy, and sister Keri Jamison Miller & her husband Mike. Joshua declared that Rich was the big brother while Keri and he were the crew. Their hearts will be linked through eternity.

Affectionally dubbed ‘Unkie’, Joshua counted his nieces and nephews; Cross, Makenzie, Chylie,
Kolton, and Lillymay, as his own. He stood for both of his nephews and proudly carried the title of Godfather. Josh provided support and guidance to Jennifer’s daughter Hannah and her son Mason. They spent many days, months, years together and meant the world to him.

Josh loved his lifelong friends Brian & Brittany Prochaska, and Jennifer Walsh and counted them as family. They shared adventures, triumphs, heartbreaks, and joys and a have deep and abiding bond!

Joshua is survived by countless Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins. He is predeceased by his Paternal
Grandparents, Jim & Norma Jamison and his Maternal Grandparents, Charles and Marie Beddows.

Joshua was Baptized and Confirmed in Faith at The Shrine of the Little Flower Catholic Church and was an active Alter Boy there. He graduated from 8 th grade at The Shrine of the Little Flower Catholic School and graduated 12 th grade from Calvert Hall College High School. He went on to receive his Associates Degree in General Studies at Essex Community College and then transferred to Towson University.

At Towson, Joshua continued his illustrious education by earning 4 additional degrees, a Bachelor’s Degree in History, a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology.

Joshua had a broad range of interests and a true thirst for knowledge. He was a bibliophile with a collection that would impress scholars and awe the average man. He was a wordsmith, a great researcher and a mighty debater. Josh loved the outdoors, the ocean, the mountains; he could start a fire in a puddle. He loved people and always shared his smile. He exuded courtesy and respect. Josh was our gentle giant, and his spirit and light will live on forever!

A private family farewell and cremation have been completed. A celebration of life around a campfire will be held on Sunday, July 25, 2021 from 7-9 PM at Immanuel Baptist Church Pavilion, 5050 Bucks Schoolhouse Road, Baltimore, MD 21237.
