Kimberly Reay

On Saturday, March 13, 2021 heaven gained a truly beautiful soul. Kimberly was a loving daughter to her mother, Sandra Johnson; a devoted and loving mom to Alexander (Erin), Darby (Josh) and Joshua (Ashley); a proud and doting Nana to her four beautiful grandchildren, Cora, Liam, Ryan and Delaina Marie; a cherished sister to Rhonda Whiteis (Lester), Tami Johnson, and Marialaina Grafton (Delmar, Sr.). She was a favorite Aunt to her nieces and nephews, Ryan (Meredith), Caitlin, Amanda, Terrence, Donya, Delmar Jr., Jordan (Megan), and Jayden; as well as her many great nieces and nephews. 

Kimberly served in the United States Army for three years, entering after graduation at the age of seventeen. She met and married a career military man and had her three wonderful boys during those years. She was able to travel in and out of country, and see a great many places, for which she was always grateful. Kim was very proud of being both a veteran herself, and a military wife. After her husband’s retirement they settled here in Maryland to be close to family and friends. 

Kim’s faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was a huge part of her life. Anyone who knew her can attest to that. She was part of Michael and Denise Brown Ministries, and loved the mission trips. Kim loved being with the kids in Harlem, NY at the annual Family Day. She believed with all of her heart, right up until her last breath. Kim passed quietly at home, surrounded by family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.

The family will receive friends at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Rd. on Thursday from 3-8 pm. A funeral service for Kimberly will be held at 7pm from the funeral home. A graveside service will be held on Friday 10am at Garrison Forest VA Cemetery.
