LAMANA “DARLENE” WAGNER
Lamana “Darlene” (Sissy) Wagner (nee Naugle) was born on June 27,1943, in Legore, MD and after a hard-fought battle, departed this life on January 18, 2024.She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 25 years: J. Frederick Wagner Sr. her beloved Grandson: William Michael Sheckles; her loving Sisters: May Piechocki and Carolyn Naugle and Brothers: Denver “Buzz” Crabbs, Donald Crabbs and Marlin L. Naugle; and her parents: Harry A. Naugle and Margaret Catherine Weddle Naugle.


Darlene was a graduate of Walkersville High School. She worked at Sagner Clothing Mfg. and Hartz Clothing Mfg. in Frederick, MD.In 1979 she met Frederick Wagner, Sr. at a Bull Roast and eventually she moved to Essex, MD and they were married on December 24,1980 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran UCC.


She held various jobs along the way, but her favorite job was working for Baltimore County Public Schools where she became the Head Custodian at Chase Elementary School, retiring in May 2005. After her husband’s death, she went back to work at Chase Elementary as an Instructional Assistant working with special needs students. She loved her job, her co-workers and students, and they loved her too. After she left the job one of her students, Kaylee and her family, stayed connected with Darlene, inviting her to many family celebrations.


Darlene leaves to cherish her memory, her loving Stepchildren: Carol Rupert (Kevin),Freddie Wagner (Maryann) and Dale Wagner (Lou Ann); Grandchildren: Donald MurphyII (Michelle) and April Knapp (Randy); Great Grandchildren: Alexa, Rori and Brynn; Nephews: Larry Naugle (Marie), James Crouse (Marlene), Michael Crabbs (Dottie),Niece: Lisa Desorcy (Richard) and adopted nephew Larry Lengel; Sister-in-laws: Maxine Wagner, Mary Crabbs and Sharon Unger and her fur baby Galaxy and many more loving relatives and friends.

Friends and family may pay their respects at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk (7110 Sollers Point Road, Dundalk, MD 21222 on Thursday January 25, 2024, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held the following day, January 26, 2024, at the funeral home at 10:30 AM. by Pastor Craig Sparks. Interment to follow at Gardens of Faith - 5598 Trumps Mill Road Baltimore, MD 21206.
