Leo G. Zimmermann III

Leo G. Zimmermann III, 28 years old of Edgemere, Maryland passed away on December 8th as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Leo was known for his big heart and infectious smile. He was born on November 22, 1992 in Towson, the beloved son of Leo and Deborah (Wallace) Zimmermann; Brother and Best Friend to Alexandra, adored Grandson to Bob & Edie Wallace and Leo & Mary Zimmermann. Leo was loved by many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and cherished friends.

He graduated from The Boys Latin School of Maryland in 2010, where is played Football and Lacrosse while establishing many lifelong friendships.  Leo is a proud 2014 graduate of The University of South Carolina where he earned a B.S. in Hospitality Management. He was a member of the Chi Si Fraternity, where he established an unbreakable bond of brothers.

Immediately after college, Leo started making his dreams come true of becoming a business owner and traveling the world. He purchased a Rita’s Ice Franchise (A Seasonal Business) that afforded him the opportunity to fish, hunt and snowboard all over the world during his off season. In 2016, he accomplished another dream of purchasing a waterfront property in his hometown where he planned on raising his own family one day. He truly enjoyed crabbing, fishing, hunting and every possible watersport with his cherished friends and family and never planned on leaving.  Last month, Leo solidified his future by purchasing a multi-purpose commercial property in his hometown-he was so excited!! Leo lived life large with an enormous heart and irresistible smile that touched every person who had the honor of knowing him.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, December 13 at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk from 12noon to 5PM.
