Leon L. Badders Sr.

Mr. Leon Lance Badders, Sr., long-time resident of Dundalk, Maryland, died unexpectedly on April 20, 2020.  He was 70 years old.

Leon is preceded in death by his wife Harriet J. Badders (nee Egeberg). He is survived by his two sons: Joe T. Richardson & Leon L. Badders, Jr.; daughters-in-law: Kimberly Healey Richardson and Shelly Badders; 5 grandchildren: Joe Richardson, III, Leah & Megan Richardson, and Zachary & Sydney Badders; 2 great-grandchildren Chloe & Owen Richardson; his brother Jimmy Badders; sister:  Betty Weaver; brother-in-law: Chuck Egeberg; and sisters-in-law: Jeri Widdowson & Sandy Nutting.

Leon was born on April 4, 1950 in Baltimore, MD to William and Orpha Badders.  He married Harriet Badders on June 15, 1973.  Leon worked at Polyseal where he met Harriet.  Later on, he worked as a Steelworker at Sparrows Point.  He loved to fish at nearby parks in the Dundalk area.  He was a huge sports fan of both the Baltimore Ravens and the Baltimore Orioles.  And most prominently, he was passionate about working in his vegetable garden.  He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed dressing as Santa Claus every Christmas.  He was a kind person who loved to stop and chat with everyone he would meet.

Unfortunately, at this time, the family will not be receiving visitors. A Remembrance of Leon will be held at a later date.
