LeRoy A. Spielman

On August 6th 2020  LeRoy Adolph Spielman passed away at the age of 91,  Beloved husband of Norma Ann Hartman Spielman.  He married the love of his life on June 10th 1950  They just celebrated their 70th year of marriage.
Devoted Father to Norma Jean Spielman Szewczyk and Husband Thomas,  Sandra Lee Spielman Kotova and Husband Dennis and Robert LeRoy Spielman and Wife Theresa. 
Cherished GrandFather of  Melissa and Husband Rob,  Stacey, April and husband Brian,  Paul,  Robert and Wife Heather and Lindsay and husband Herb. 
Great GrandFather of :  Kristen, Kourtney, Michael, Shaun, Ryan, Owen, Bryson and Ava
Great Great GrandFather of : Kinsley, Timothy and Brooks
 
LeRoy was Born February 4th 1929 to Herman and Anna Spielmann, the 7th of 8 children,  Both Parents and Siblings all preceded him in death.  Katherine, Herman, Emma, Marie, Henry, Dorothy and Joseph.  He was a very Loving Uncle to Many Nieces and Nephews. 
As a young man he was in the Merchant Marines,  USCG  and then the Army where he served as a corporal MP in Japan,  Discharged July 1948
Roy worked as a Steelworker Foreman at Bethlehem Steel until he retired.  He always worked very hard his whole life so he could play hard with his family.   Traveling, Camping, Fishing, Boating, Hunting. He loved Life,  Gardening, Wood working and was quite the Artisan, from tying his own fishing lures, tying his fishing rods, working with leather and painting he always kept his hands busy. 
He enjoyed playing Softball, and was just a young man when the Orioles came to Baltimore he loved listening to a game on the radio and watching them on TV. Also the Colts and Ravens were high on his entertainment. 
He always loved spending time with his GrandChildren, Teaching them all kinds of lessons and tricks and how they loved his one liners and nicknames. 
Roy was a very strong man who would do anything to help his family and friends.  He had such a big heart and a very watchful eye on all he loved.  He was also a lifetime member of the VFW, Moose Lodge and Battle Grove Democratic Club. 
 
We will be planning a Celebration of Life for a future date and will let all know at that time.  Rest in Peace Roy.  Until we meet again with all our love always
