On February 9, 2020, Loretta May Levine, loving wife of Robert Levine Sr., cherished mother of Robert Levine Jr. and wife Shiela and Donna Levine-Burleson and husband Eric, Dear grandmother of Ronnie, Haleigh, Gabrielle and husband Dennis, Storm, Chandler, Felicia and husband Daniel, Matisse, Amaris, Dovlynd, Ava, Hawks, Ana, Blu, great grandmother of Averi, Andi, Oliver, Karsynn, Ellie, Savannah, Brad, Daniel, Jaylin, Dylan, Raelynn, sister of Walter Gerlock Jr. and wife Donna, Lawrence Gerlock and wife Debbie, Rhonda Lanteri and the late Clifford Gerlock and aunt of Colleen Gerlock.
Born Jan 2, 1956 to her Mother, Belle, Loretta was delivered by the loving hands of her Father, Walter, in her Fort Howard childhood home. Both of her parents preceded her in death. Loretta married her sweetheart of 48 years, Bob Levine on March 4th, 1972. The couple also settled in Fort Howard where they raised their 2 children, Donna & Rob in the lovely house that Loretta turned into a warm, welcoming home to all who entered. She was known for her love of her family, her faith, sage wisdom, humor, her empathetic listening ear, hard work, her wonderful cooking & making everyone she met feel right at home. The highlight of her week was her family's Sunday Dinners, where everyone graciously flocked to enjoy her home cooking, laughs & hospitality. Holidays and birthday parties were Loretta's specialty, and no stranger ever left her home feeling less than family. She loved having her grand children & great grandchildren spend the night & taught them many of her special talents such as baking, sewing, gardening and crafts.
She instilled a love of Jesus in her family from the start & even as her short, but aggressive battle with cancer gained the advantage over her body, she & her family clung to the Lord. In faith, they joined together, trusting & knowing that her battle was God's all along & healing would take place; be it on earth or in Heaven. Loretta was so proud of her family's dedication & tender care of she & Bob as her illness progressed. She said her last weeks were some of her most treasured because she knew that when God called her home, her family would remain even more loving and close; so in her eyes cancer did not win, love did. She leaves a legacy of love, humor and faith, and a following of family & friends who will always be of help to anyone in need because of her exemplary goodness & generous heart.
